Established since the 1990s, the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Training Provider Network (GBSTPN) are a selective but informal group of C-Level Executives from Government-funded, Work-Based Learning providers who are based within the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) AND across the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area. Government-funded Work-Based Learning includes (but is not exclusive to):
- Degree Apprenticeships & Higher Apprenticeships
- Career-Entry Intermediate & Advanced Apprenticeships
- T-Levels
- Traineeships and Work-Study Programmes
Primarily (but not exclusively), we:
- meet to collaborate on regional, collective action strategies
- represent our shared interests at - and disseminate learning from - regional stakeholder events (GBSLEP, BCC, WMCA, AeLP, WMPN, Careers Hubs, etc)
- give a platform to relevant speakers who we think will be of benefit to our audience (ie Regional Stakeholders + Ofsted, ESFA, etc)
- organise collective careers events for local school leavers, college leavers and other educational progressors.
